The discussions on university salary system continued

The Association of Finnish Independent Education Employers (AFIEE), (which represents the Universities) and the employees continued their collective bargaining December 19.

The focus this time was on the modifications to the salary system, which were demanded by the employer. The employees’ goals for the renewal of the salary system were also introduced, and those goals differ significantly from the employer’s ideas. Thus, the discussions will continue the topic in future meetings.

The collective bargaining will resume in January 2018 when the discussions will include working hour instructions, other text modifications and the levels of the salary raises.
