Discussions About Renewing the Salary System Continued
The Association of Finnish Independent Education Employers (AFIEE), (which represent the Universities) and the JUKO, Trade Union for the Public and Welfare Sectors (JHL) and Federation of Salaried Employees (Pardia) which represent the employees, continued their collective bargaining January 15.
Discussion about renewing the salary system continued. The Employees answered in writing to the Employer’s proposition. Both parties are still quite far from reaching an understanding in the matter.
The Employer commented on the written proposal from the Employees’. It seems that the opinions still differ significantly.
The salary raises or the contract period were not discussed at this time. The collective bargaining continues January 18.

The Negotiation Organisation for Public Sector Professionals (JUKO) is an umbrella organisation negotiating on behalf of more than 200,000 municipal, state, university and church employees.
