Unemployment insurance

The Union members have the option of joining the Unemployment Fund for Education and Science (previous name Teachers’ Unemployment Fund) upon joining the Union. Membership in the Unemployment Fund is a free membership benefit offered by the Union. If a member in another fund later wishes to transfer his or her fund membership to the Unemployment Fund for Education and Science, he or she must contact the Office of the Finnish Union of University Professors.
