The Union Council approved the new strategy for 2026–2030

The meeting of the Union Council was held on 28 November in Helsinki. At its meeting, the Council approved a new strategy for the Union, ‘Advocacy for science and professors’.

The Union safeguards the common interests of its members locally and nationally and advances the prerequisites for research and teaching.

For its members, the Finnish Union of University Professors shall

  • Safeguard employment relationships
  • Improve working conditions
  • Develop the sense of community
  • Strengthen the freedom to carry out scientific and artistic work
