Meeting of the Union Board on 13 February 2026

The Board of the Finnish Union of University Professors met on 13 February 2026 and approved, among other things, the Union’s Objectives for the Government Programme.

At its meeting, the Board:

• approved the Union’s Objectives for the Government Programme
• discussed the labour market situation
• discussed the change negotiations at universities and research institutes
• took note of stakeholder meetings
• took note that the Federation of Finnish Learned Societies published a report (in Finnish) on the state of academic freedom and researchers’ freedom of expression in Finland.
