Meeting of the Union Board on 27 March 2026

The Board of the Finnish Union of University Professors met on 27 March 2026 and approved, among other things, Annual Report 2025 and decided to submit it to the Council.

At the beginning of the meeting, Erja Heikkinen, Director of Science Policy at the Ministry of Education and Culture, spoke about the vision for higher education and research in 2040.

At its meeting, the Board

• discussed the investment activity of the Union
• approved the Annual Report 2025 and decided to submit it to the Council
• discussed the education and training voucher pilot and gave instructions for the union’s statement
• received an overview of the labour market situation.
